Carlo M. Ferla received the B.S. degree in information sciences in 1974 from the University of Pisa, Italy.Since 1978 he has been employed by the SACLANT Undersea Research Centre as a senior scientist in the Environmental Modeling Group. He is responsible for the design and development of models for signal and noise propagation in ocean waveguides, as well as their application to modeling data from experiments at sea and in simulating sonar system performance.
