William H. Dragoset received the B.A. degree in physics from Auburn University, Auburn, AL, in 1972 and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Rice University, Houston, TX, in 1978.

He held a Postdoctoral Research position in Experimental Particle Physics for two years at Rice University. In 1979 he joined Western Geophysical Company, Houston, TX, as a Research Geophysicist where he has specialized in the acquisition and processing of marine seismic data. He is currently a Senior Geophysicist at Western Research, a subsidiary of Western Geophysical.

Dr. Dragoset has been author or coauthor of thirteen scientific papers and is a member of the SEG, the EAEG, the AAAS, and the Geophysical Society of Houston.
