K. P. Venugopal received B.Tech degree from Calicut University, India, in 1984 and M. Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, in 1986, both in electrical engineering.From 1986 to 1990 he was with Steel Authority of India, New Delhi, Hindustan Computers Limited, New Delhi and Wipro Information Technology, Bangalore, India. Currently he is with the Advanced Marine Systems Group, Department of Ocean Engineering, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, as a Research Assistant pursuing his Ph.D degree in electrical engineering. His research interests include neural network controllers, neural network learning algorithms and computer vision.
