Peter J. Kootsookos (S'86, M'92) was born in Townsville, Australia in 1965. He received the B.E. and M.Eng. Sc. degrees (both in electrical engineering) in 1986 and 1989 from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, and the Ph.D. degree in systems engineering from the Australian National University, Canberra, in 1992.He is currently working as a Research Fellow for the Cooperative Research Centre for Robust and Adaptive Systems at the DSTO, Salisbury, site. His research interests include FIR filter design, model order reduction, spectrum estimation, and frequency estimation,
