Richard G. Adair received the B.A. degree in geophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, and the Ph.D. degree in earth sciences from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla, CA.From 1986 to 1988 he was employed at the Hartford Nuclear Reservation, Hanford, WA, as an Earthquake Seismologist on the Basalt Nuclear Waste Isolation Project. He is now a Project Geophysicist with Teledyne Geotech, Garland, TX, developing microseismic diagnostics for hydrofracture characterization. His past and present interests include digital signal processing, the design of field systems for data acquisition and analysis, optimization techniques, statistical modeling of elastic wavefields and oil, gas, and geothermal reservoir properties, and inverse theory.
Dr. Adair is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysics, the American Geophysical Union, and the Seismological Society of America.
