Saul Silven received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Drexel Institute of Technology, Philadelphia PA, in 1957, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, in 1959.He is currently a consultant in the field of electronic warfare system analysis. He was formerly employed as an engineering staff specialist at the Electronics Division of the General Dynamics Corporation, San Diego, CA, where was engaged in research and development of Kalman filtering and neural network applications to electronic warfare systems, and in advanced radar and sonar concepts. Prior to joining General Dynamics in 1984, he was employed at GTE, Mountain View, CA, where he was engaged in ionospheric and atmospheric physics research for determining effects on communication systems and at Lockheed Missiles/Space Company, Sunnyvale, CA, where he developed solutions to satellite orbital and rigid-body dynamics problems.
Mr. Silven is a member of the Association of Old Crows, and is also a registered professional engineer in the state of California.
