David B. Fogel received the Ph.D. degree in engineering sciences (systems science) from University of California at San Diego.He is a senior principal engineer at ORINCON Corporation. He has published numerous papers in technical journals and conferences and is the author of System Identification through Simulated Evolution: A Machine Learning Approach to Modeling, (Ginn Press, a division of Simon & Schuster).
Dr. Fogel is president of the Evolutionary, Programming Society and the general chairman of the Second Annual Conference on Evolutionary Programming. He also serves as the chairman of the San Diego Section of the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society.
