Ching-Sang Chiu received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, in 1979 and the Sc.D. degree in oceanographic engineering from the Joint Program between Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA, in 1985.
His research interests include acoustical oceanography, underwater acoustics, and physical oceanography, and he has authored and co-authored more than 25 refereed publications in these subjects. His current position is Associate Professor of Oceanography at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA.
Dr. Chiu is a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America.
