William E. Terry, Jr. is a Research Associate at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. He received a A.B. in Physics from the University of the South and a M.S. in Physical Oceanography from Florida State University. He is interested in the development of velocity measurement techniques in the near surface and bottom boundary layer regions. At the present time he is working with the design HEBBLE Sea Duct and the MOIST programs. He is chairman of the Standard Committee of the IEEE, Oceanic Engineering Society, Current Measurement Technology Committee.
