Carl M. Bennett (SM'73) received B.E.E. degree in communications and the M.S. degree in mathematics from Auburn University, Auburn, AL, the M.S. degree in statistics from Florida State University, Tallahassee, and he is a civilian graduate of the Naval War College.He has been an Engineer with AT&T and Western Electric Company, a Signal Officer in the U.S. Army, an Instructor at Auburn University, and an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Florida, Gainsville. Currently he is Deputy Head, Research and Technology Department, Naval Coastal Systems Center, Panama City, FL.
Mr. Bennett received the Department of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service award for his contributions to the directional spectral analysis of dispersive media, ocean wave analysis, and simulation modeling. He is an ABET-IEEE Ad Hoc Visitor and Visitor Selection Board member.
