David H. Chambers received the B.S. degree in physics in 1980 and the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the M.S. degree in physics, all from Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the Ph.D. degree in theoretical and applied mechanics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 1988.
Since then, he has been a Physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the Laser Division. He has published papers in the fields of laser propagation through turbulence and evaluation of techniques for extracting coherent structure information from turbulent fluid flows. His present interests include radar imaging of the ocean and modeling of internal-wave production by turbulence.
Dr. Chambers is a member of Tau Beta Pi and the American Physical Society.
