Richard S. Keiffer received the B.S. degree in physics from Loyola University, New Orleans, LA, in 1981 and the M.A. degree in physics from Rice University, Houston, TX, in 1984.

He is presently a Researcher in underwater acoustics at the Naval Research Laboratory, Stennis Space Center, MS. His primary area of research has been the study of acoustic scattering from rough interfaces.

Mr. Keiffer is a member of the Acoustical Society of America.
