John A. Hildebrand received the B.S. degree from the University of California, San Diego, in 1978 and the Ph.D. degree from Stanford University in 1983.In 1983 he joined the Marine Physical Laboratory of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His research interests include low frequency acoustics, ocean bottom seismology, and ocean bottom gravimetry.
