Terry L. Henderson (M'70) was born in Sherman, TX, on June 19, 1944. He received the B.S. degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1964, the S.M. degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, in 1966, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970.His current position is that of Special Research Associate, Applied Research Laboratories, the University of Texas at Austin. His prior experience includes several years in acoustics research at the Schellenger Research Laboratories, a teaching fellowship at Harvard University, a one-year appointment as Acting Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, a tour of duty as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service, several years as Chief of the Noise Section at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and four years as Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Kentucky. His research interests include signal processing and sonar systems.
Dr. Henderson is a member of the Acoustical Society of America.
