David F. Harwood received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry from Southeastern Massachusetts University, N. Dartmouth, in 1969 and 1972, respectively.

In 1970 he joined the science department at Dighton-Rehoboth High School, where he currently serves as its Chairman. He has served as Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Southeastern Massachusetts University and as a consultant in electroanalytical chemistry at ENDECO, INC., of Marion, MA, since 1986. Presently his chief area of interest is electrochemical instrumentation for measurement of dissolved oxygen in various aqueous media.
