Michael D. Feezor was born in Statesville, NC on April 12, 1941. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, in 1963, and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical mathematics and engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1969.

He has bean active in the development of instrumentation for audiometry, cardiology, hyperbaric medicine, and oceanography, and is the holder of six patents. He is currently an Assistant Medical Research Professor in Cell Biology at Duke University, Durham, NC, where he is active in biomedical simulation.
