Abolfazl Falahati was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1957. He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics with physics from the University of Warwick (UK) in 1982, and the M.Sc. degree in digital communication systems from Loughborough University of Technology (UK) in 1985. He is now preparing the Ph.D. degree thesis. His main research interests are in signal processing, channel modeling, implementation of VLSI circuitry into digital data transmission systems, and opto-electronics.

Mr. Falahati is an Associate Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
