Sylvie Daniel graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from the Institut National des Sciences Appliques de Rennes, France, in 1994. She received the master's degree in image and artificial intelligence from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne (ENSTB), France, in 1995. She is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree at the ENSTB as well as at the Groupe d'Etudes Sous-Marines de l'Atlantique (GESMA), Brest, France.
Her work concerns the three-dimensional reconstruction of manufactured objects lying on the sea bottom from sonar images. Her research interests include image processing, pattern recognition and three-dimensional representation, reasoning methods, and data fusion.
