Richard T. Lawner was born in Chicago, IL, in 1959. He received the B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Kansas in 1981.He is currently a graduate student at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, working on the Master's degree in electrical engineering. While at the University of Kansas, he is working at the Remote Sensing Laboratory doing research on radar backscatter from the ocean surface.
