Dinorah C. Esteva holds a Doctor in Science degree from the University of Havana, Cuba, and a M.S. in physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.She spent eleven years at the U.S. Army Coastal Engineering Research Center, Fort Belvoir, VA, where she was involved in the study of wave characteristics in the coastal zone and in their simulation in hydraulic laboratory facilities. In 1979, she transferred to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Coastal Waves Program.
Ms. Esteva is a member of the Sigma Pi Sigma Physics Honor Society and of the American Geophysical Union.
