Stephen C. Bateman

Stephen C. Bateman was born in Bristol, England, in 1954. He received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic and electrical engineering from Loughborough University of Technology, in 1980 and 1985, respectively.

He has been a Lecturer in electronic and electrical engineering at Loughborough University since 1984, and during 1990-1991 he is on study leave with Cadence Design Systems, Inc., Santa Clara, CA. His main research interests are in data transmission over telephone, satellite and underwater channels, and computer-aided engineering.

Dr. Bateman is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
