Yongke Mu received the M.S. degree in applied mathematical science from Shandong University, China, in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Delaware, Newark, in 1998.

He was with Shandong University as an Assistant Professor through 1994. From 1998 to 2000, he served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Graduate College of Marine Studies (CMS) at the University of Delaware, where he is currently an Associate Research Scientist. His research interests are shallow-water acoustics, acoustical oceanography, acoustic/seismic wave propagation in porous media, and signal processing.

Dr. Mu is an associate member of American Geophysical Union, and is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
