E. Richard Robinson is from Urbana, IL. He received the B.S. degree in 1968 and the M.S. degree in 1970, both in mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 1990, he was awarded the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from the University of Rhode Island.Dr. Robinson is a mathematician at NUWC (formely NUSC), New London, CT and an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven. He teaches a wide range of mathematics courses including mathematical modeling with applications to ocean acoustics. His current research interests are normal model theory and range-dependent propagation loss modeling.
