G. H. Niezgoda (M'82) was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, in 1959. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from McMastes University, Hamilton, in 1982 and 1984, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1994.Between 1984 and 1986, he was employed as a researcher at the Communications Research Laboratory, McMaster University. From 1986 to 1989, he was an analyst for Computing Devices of Canada, Ottawa. Since 1993, he has worked as a Research Associate and Lecturer at the Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston, Ontario. His research interests include array processing, detection and estimation, and shallow field remote sensing.
In 1989 he was co-recipient of the IEE Overseas Premium Paper Prize.
