Pete J. Alleman was born in Lafayette, LA, on December 19, 1958. He received the Honor's B.S. degree in physics from the University of Louisiana--Lafayette in 1981.
After receiving his degree, he was employed by Digitran Systems, Inc., Lafayette, LA, where he developed system models and control/data acquisition systems for real-time training simulators. In 1989, he joined John E. Chance and Associates, Inc., Lafayette, LA, where he developed control, acquisition, and processing systems for swath sonar systems and acoustic navigation systems. He was one of the first employees of C & C Technologies, Inc., Lafayette, LA, when it was incorporated in 1992. At C & C, he oversees research in sonar acquisition systems and processing systems, AUV sensor development, and survey automation systems.
