Steve E. Forsythe received the B.S. degree in mathematical science and physics from Rollins College in Florida in 1966.
He is a Senior Physicist at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI. He has been working in software, systems, and electronics development with major corporations, including Digital Equipment Corporation, General Dynamics, and General Electric, since the 1970's. He has been in advanced research of digital signal processing, software and systems development, geophysics, and electronics relating to navy underwater sound measurements for more than ten years. His research interests include transient signal processing, physical acoustics, accurate experimental determination of ocean transfer function, accurate measurement in reverberant tanks (de-reverberation), and synthetic aperture sonar.
Mr. Forsythe is a member of the Acoustical Society of America.
