Paul M. Baggenstoss (S'88-M'90) received the Ph.D. (EE) degree in signal processing from the University of Rhode Island, Providence, in 1990, specializing in statistical signal processing and decision theory.

He has been working in the SONAR field since 1979 when he joined Raytheon Company. Since 1996, when he joined Naval Unersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI, he has been working on the classification problem.
