Stephen J. Stanic received the B.S. degree in mathematics and physics from Sir George Williams University, Montreal, Canada, and the M.S. degree in aerospace engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the Pennsylvania State University, State College, in 1970 and 1976, respectively.
From 1977 and 1980, he was a Research Associate at the Applied Research Laboratory of the Pennsylvania State University. He is currently a Research Physicist at the Naval Research Laboratory, Stennis Space Center, MS. From 1987 to 1988, he was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego.
