Michael E. Evans (M'77) received the B.E. and M. Eng. Sc. degrees from the University of Queensland, Australia in 1974, and 1976, respectively, and the Ph.D. from Yale University in 1981.

From 1981 to 1991 he lectured in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Australia, and is currently a Senior Research Scientist in the Guided Weapons Division of the Defense Science and Technology Organisation in Salisbury, South Australia. His main research interests lie in the area of control theory, and include dynamical modeling, simulation, control system design, and control applications.
