S. P. Morton (M'93) received the B.Sc. (Eng). degree in engineering physics from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1986, and the M.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston, Ontario, in 1993.He has been a serving member in the Canadian Navy since 1986, and served in HMCS Athabaskan as a Combat Systems Engineering Officer during the Gulf War. He is currently the Senior Project Engineer for the Arctic Subsurface Surveillance System and a Project Engineer for the Canadian Forces Integrated Undersea Surveillance System Centre at the National Defence Headquarters, Ottawa.
Lt. Morton received the Governor General's Gold Medal for academic excellence while completing his Master's degree.
