Kiho Kim (S'81-M'91) received the B.S. degree from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, in 1980, the M.S. degree from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1982 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, all in electrical engineering.

From 1982 to 1987 he was with the Korean Broadcasting System, Seoul, where he developed the Korean Teletext System. Since 1991 he has been with Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, Korea, where he has been engaged in research on signal processing for HDTV and digital storage. His research interests are in digital storage, digital communication, and adaptive signal processing.

Dr. Kim is a member of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineering.
