Zoi-Heleni Michalopoulou (M'93) received the Diploma in electrical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 1988, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Duke University, Durham, NC, in 1990 and 1993, respectively.
Between January 1994 and August 1995, she was a research assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ. Since September 1995, she has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her research interests include signal processing, detection and estimation theory, and underwater communications. She is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Technical Chamber of Greece.
