Fabrice Le Léannec was born in Hennebont, France, on September 10, 1973. He graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne in 1996, with an engineer diploma specializing in image and signal processing. He achieved a training period on sonar image processing for GESMA in 1996. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree at IRISA/INRIA, Rennes, France.
His research focuses on hierarchical models for video data representation and coding on packet networks.
