D. Andrew Trivett received the B.Eng. in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. 1986, and is presently completing a Sc.D. in the MIT/WHOI Joint Program in Oceanographic Engineering.

His research interests include field measurements of hydrothermal vents and current meter technology.
