Chih Ho Yu received the B.S. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1968, and the M.S. degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1985, both in electrical engineering. He is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the University of Hawaii. He is currently an Engineer with the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute, working on renewable energy systems and control system design. His research involves the development of computer vision techniques for underwater applications. From 1968 to 1979 he was a Design Engineer at the Huadian Electric Machine Factory in China. During 1979-1984 he was a Lecturer at the Automation Department of the Tianjin Textile Engineering College (China). His current interests include control theory and underwater computer vision.
