Lal Chand Godara (S'80-M'82) was born in India in 1952. He received the B.E.(Hons) degree in electronics engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India, in 1975, the M.Tech. degree in physical engineering from indian Institute of Science, Banglore, India, in 1977, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Newcastle, Shortland, Australia in 1982.He was employed by BITS Pilani from 1977 to 1979 as an Assistant Lecturer, the University of Newcastle in 1982 as a Research Associate, the Defence Research and Development Laboratory, Hyderabad, India, in 1983 as a Scientist, and the Australian National University, Canberra, in 1984 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. At present he is with the School of Applied Science, Canberra College of Advanced Education, Canberra, Australia, and concurrently holds a position of Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University, Canberra. His current research interest includes antenna array processing, digital signal processing, maximum entropy spectral analysis, and adaptive algorithms.
Dr. Godara is an associate member of the Acoustical Society of America.
