Lisa A. Pflug was born on February 3, 1965, in Chalmette, LA. She received the B.S. degree cum laude and the M.S. degree, both in mathematics, from the University of New Orleans (UNO), New Orleans, in 1987 and 1990, respectively.
Between 1988 and 1990, she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mathematics and a Research Assistant in the Department of Physics at UNO. Since 1990, she has been employed full-time as a Mathematician at the Naval Research Laboratory, Stennis Space Center, MS, in the Ocean Acoustics Branch. Her research interests include higher order statistics, signal detection, ambient noise modeling, and blind deconvolution.
Ms. Pflug is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the Mathematical Association of America.
