Gary A. Mastin (M'78-S'79-M'83) received the B.A. degree in physics from Ottawa University, Ottawa, KS, in 1976. In 1977 he received the Masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia.From 1977 through 1979, he worked in the Digital Image Processing Department at the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan. His work concentrated on synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image processing and exploitation. He continued his SAR work at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, where he completed the Ph,D. degree in engineering science in 1983, He is now employed in the Digital Image Processing Facility at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM.
Dr. Mastin is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Pi Sigma, and the American Geophysical Union. He was a participant in the 1979 MARSEN experiment.
