Charles L. Walker received a B.S. degree in physics from Mississippi State University in 1965. He received an M.S. degree in 1973 and a Ph.D. degree in 1975 from Mississippi State University, both in electrical engineering. Dr. Walker joined the Naval Oceanographic and Atmospheric Research Laboratory (NOARL) in 1982. At NOARL he has worked in the area of automatic recognition of free-form hand printed characters and digital image processing. Dr. Walker's research interests include digital image processing, remote sensing, and pattern analysis.
