Leung Tsang (S'73-M'75-SM'85) received the S.B., S.M., E.E., and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge.He worked at the Schlumberger-Doll Research Center, Ridgefield, CT, between 1976 and 1978, and taught at Texas A&M University between 1980 and 1983. He is presently Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Washington, Seattle. His current research interests are in multiple scattering of waves in random media, microwave remote sensing, acoustic and electrical well-logging, and integrated optics. He is coauthor of the book Theory of Microwave Remote Sensing (New York: Wiley-Interscience, 1985).
Dr. Tsang is presently an associate editor of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON GEOSCIENCE AND REMOTE SENSING, an associate editor of Radio Science, and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications.
