E. O. Tuck received the B.Sc. degree (Adelaide, 1960) and Ph.D. (Cambridge, 1964) degrees.From 1964 to 1966, he worked at the U.S. Navy's David Taylor Model Basin, Washington, D.C., and in 1966 to 1967 at Caltech. Since 1968, he has been at the University of Adelaide in the Applied Mathematics Department, holding a Personal Chair from 1974. His research interests cover a broad spectrum of fluid dynamics, including ship hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, wave and free surface phenomena, and capillary-viscous flows.
Dr. Tuck is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science.
