Xin Tang was born in Jinhu, China, on March 18, 1965. He received the B.S. degree in physics and the M.S. degree in acoustics from Nanjing University in 1987 and 1990, respectively, and the Ph.D degree in ocean acoustics from University of Miami, Miami, FL, in 1996.
He is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami. His research interests include acoustic modeling, signal processing, and data analysis.
Dr. Tang is a member of the Acoustical Society of America and the American Geophysical Union.
