Juliette W. Ioup (M'96) received the B.S. degree with honors and the M.S. degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1963 and 1965, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, in 1972, all in physics.
From 1972 to 1981, she was a Professor of Physics at Xavier University, New Orleans, LA. From 1981 to 1984, she was a Geophysical Data Processor with Texaco Exploration and Production Company. She has been full-time at the University of New Orleans since 1984, where she is a Professor of Physics, Geophysics, and Electrical Engineering. Her research interests include higher order correlations and spectra, wavelet transforms, Fourier analysis, geophysical, acoustical, and aerospace signal analysis and processing, deconvolution, mathematical digital filtering, spectral estimation, modeling and simulation, and computational physics.
Dr. Ioup is a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and is a member of the American Physical Society, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and the American Geophysical Union.
