Dr. Jay Karmarkar received a Ph.D. in EECS from the University of Santa Clara in 1970. He has published several papers and reports in the areas of navigation, guidance, and control for aeronautical and marine applications with particular emphasis on real-time algorithm development. He has been with Systems Control, Inc. (Vt) since 1973, where he is currently working on several projects including triplex redundant digital flight control systems, marine throttle propulsion and marine collision avoidance research.
