Paul A. Baxley received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in aerospace engineering from San Diego State University, San Diego, CA, in 1981 and 1983, and is working towards the M.S. degree in oceanography at the University of California, San Diego, Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
He has been a research scientist at the Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center since 1983 where he has specialized in matched-field processing, underwater acoustics modeling, and sonar system performance prediction. He is currently developing matched-field inversion and tracking techniques under Office of Naval Research sponsorship.
