Stephen M. PEARLMAN has worked in the field of applied oceanography since 1982, both at InterOcean Systems and at several research organizations. His degree in physical oceanography and training as a diver and technician has allowed extensive field experience to be gained as a result of numerous instrument deployments in the arctic, freshwater, and the offshore environments. At InterOcean Steve has worked in several capacities including scientific survey crew aboard the InterOcean Sniffer conducting petrochemical surveys and analysis, was project manager for the Royal Australian Navy remote data collection and telemetry system discussed herein, and is currently working as the international sales representative for InterOcean.
