Joseph A. Rice (M'95) received the B.A. degree in mathematics and the B.S. degree in engineering science from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, in 1981 and the M.S.E.E. degree in applied ocean science from the University of California at San Diego and Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 1990.
Since 1981, he has been a Research Engineer at the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, CA. His research interests include underwater acoustics, digital communications, and undersea networks. Presently he is Principal Investigator for the U.S. Navy Telesonar and SeaWeb RDT&E projects.
