Kondagunta Sivaprasad (SM'84) received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Madras, Madras, India, in 1956 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, in 1958 and 1963, respectively.

He was an Assistant Professor at I.I.T., Madras, India, from 1965 to 1968, and since 1969 has been a member of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, where he is currently a Professor. He was a Visiting Professor at the Electromagnetics Institute at the Technical University of Denmark in 1976. In 1983-1984, he was a Visiting Scientist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution with the Underwater Acoustics Group and did research on inverse scattering problems. His primary interests are in the areas of applied electromagnetics and underwater acoustics.
