Richard J. Kenefic received the B.S.E.E. degree from Indiana Tech in 1971, the M.S.E.E. degree from Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, in 1973, and the Ph.D. degree from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, in 1979.In 1973 he joined General Electric as an Engineer on the ABC program. After graduating from the C course in 1976, he worked in the area of advanced radar concepts. In 1980 he joined the Technical Staff at the Magnavox Electronic Systems Company where he has worked in the areas of smart munitions and airborne antisubmarine warfare. He has authored or coauthored a dozen papers in the area of detection and estimation theory.
Dr. Kenefic has served as a reviewer for several IEEE transactions, and is currently an Associate Editor for Aerospace and Electronics Systems magazine.
