Hongya Ge (S'91) was born in Zhejiang, China, on November 16, 1962. She received the B.S. degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, and the M.S. degree from Nanjing Aeronautical Institute, Nanjing, China, in 1982 and 1985, respectively, all in electrical engineering. Currently, she is working towards the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the University of Rhode Island.From 1986 to 1990, she was with the Department of Information and Electronics at the Zhejiang University, as a Lecturer, Teaching and working in Numerical Analysis, Radar Signal Processing, and Communication Theory. Her current research interest are statistical signal processing including detection, parameter estimation, and communication theory.
